Tommy Horton




Tommy Horton is a “Texas Gentleman” who demonstrates talent of traditional country, gospel, and rockabilly music. Horton’s vocals, guitar pickin ‘ and true southern charm has endeared him with everyone he meets.

Tommy was a member of the Big “0” Jamboree in Dallas, Texas and the Louisiana Hayride in Shreveport, Louisiana. He has toured and worked for some of country music’s top recording artists including, Pretty Miss Norma Jean, Claude Gray, Tony Douglas, and Joe Paul Nichols and has performed in Canada and Europe. Tommy appeared on the Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree in Nashville, Tennessee, was part of a show that appeared in theaters in Branson, Missouri, toured the fair circuit throughout the Midwestern part of the United States, and has also appeared on the RFD-TV Network. He has won numerous country music awards such as the prestigious Metroplex Country Music Association Male Entertainer of the Year Award in Dallas, Texas and the Traditional Country Award at the Oklahoma Opry in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 2006, Tommy was inducted into the Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame in Anita, Iowa and has been awarded a proclamation/ resolution by the Oklahoma and Texas House of Representatives.

A tribute to the legendary Johnny Horton is a special segment of Tommy’s show. Songs like “Honky Tonk Man” and “The Battle of New Orleans” always brings back memories. He has several recording projects to his credit including a song he wrote, “The Surveyors of Texas”. This song along with the fact that Tommy made his living working as a surveyor has earned him the title…”The Singin’ Surveyor“.
